Get Involved - Volunteer with us!
Our café runs on community spirit and our amazing volunteers are at the heart of it all. Whether you're helping in the kitchen, greeting customers, or supporting the pantry, you’ll be making a real difference right here in Mansbridge.
I’ve been volunteering here for eight years and it’s the people and friendships that keep me coming back

Pop in for a chat and complete an application form or contact Cafe Manager Nigel Powney direct on Roundabout.cafe@abri.co.uk or by calling 023 8067 2700 to register your interest - we’d love to welcome you to the Round About Cafe team, just like we welcomed Ron!
Ron's Story: "I started visiting the café in October 2024 for coffee and a bacon bap with a friend. After donating some homegrown vegetables to the pantry, I soon signed up to volunteer two mornings a week.
I love meeting people and chatting—especially about gardening! Volunteering keeps me active and connected. I also make chutneys and jams from my garden produce, sharing them with the café staff and pantry members along with recipe ideas.
It’s been great running into old friends and making new connections. Being part of Round About feels like giving back and belonging to a real community."
